Technology and domotics are already part of our everyday life. An installation like this one, realised with the aid of Threeline technical team, is a perfect example of how it is possible to control every type of lighting and adapt it to different spaces.

In this particular case, in the underground parking of the Nueva Condomina shopping mall in Murcia (Spain), 235 spot lights have been installed and 585 more will be added at a later stage. Their main features are the complexity of the control system and the advanced technology, that simplify the work of security officers.

The project has been totally developed by the Threeline technical and R&S department, that has also supported the shopping mall in order to find the best way to optimise energy consumption and wirelessly control lighting, without connections nor new installations. Realising them would have been quite expensive and some area should have been closed, an unfavourable choice, especially in this moment.

This control system allows to improve the energy efficiency of the building, because only the necessary luminaires are switched on, according to the time of the day and to the needs of customers and employees.

After having personally checked all the limitations related to the access to the centre during closing time, the Threeline team proposed the most suitable and versatile solution in terms of lighting configuration and customisation.

This project represented a challenge for our team, both commercially and technically, above all because we wanted the customer to fully know and comprehend all the potential and functionality of this control system. 

The first phase has been completed and the work for the following two steps have already begun. Once finalised the project, the shopping mall will be controlled both generally and for every single luminaire in no time.

Thanks to this technology, we have satisfied the lighting requirement for the night security service and for the cleaning service, overcoming the limitations due to the width of spaces and the access of the staff during closing time. It has been possible to use lighting also to guide customers to the zones where they have to stop and to park, or to indicate them where they have to pass, so their shopping experience would be safe and satisfying. In fact, the aim of the shopping mall is that customers could buy without worrying.

Moreover, during night hours, brightness levels lower to the minimum necessary for the security systems CCTV to properly work. In this way, we contribute to greatly reduce energy consumption when the mall is closed and, at the same time, we guarantee its security.

The multiple possibilities of CASAMBI system, especially the wireless configuration maya (MESH) of the devices, made us choose this technology. Wide spaces and open zones are connected between them through this platform, without the necessity to add more control connections, thus generating a saving in labour, both for installation and later maintenance.

All these aspects have been essential in the selection and, when the customer verified the actual usability of the control application, he did not have any doubt in accepting our proposal to use the CASAMBI CBU-ASD module.

For us, this project has been a source of enrichment. Not only we have utilised domotics technology in a 165.000 m² shopping mall, with more than 16.000 stopping places, but we have also presented this option to the other malls of the group Nueva Condomina belongs to. It has been a pilot and pioneer project of this type of lighting control, with the purpose to offer to more than one million and a half visitors a quality leisure venue.
