When summer is approaching, it is the right moment to prepare your pool for the hotter days: revise the electrical lighting system, decide to light it for the first time, or replace the traditional halogen lamps with LED lamps.

So, if you are thinking about renewing your pool, keep on reading: we will give you some practical advices to make it perfect and to help you choose the right product.

The first aspect consider is the type of installation that is going to be realised, always remembering to rely on professionals, that will deal also with the supervision: as it is a system in contact with water, the possible risks are higher and it is necessary that everything is completely safe.

Moreover, you have to know what kind of pool is yours, the news is that we added options for all types of pools: concrete, fibre glass or vinyl. Now we can light up all of them!

The luminaire will be composed of the lamp and the accessory for the installation. You can choose between:

- RECESSED mounting

• Lamp + trim ring: suitable if you have an already installed niche and you want to replace the luminaire;
• Lamp + decorative ring for niche: adjustable accessory to replace the front part of an already installed niche;
• Lamp + niche: the best option when realising a new installation, leaving the lamp recessed into the pool.

- SURFACE mounting

• Lamp + concrete accessory: basic, but in an enhanced version;
• Lamp + fibre glass accessory: these pools are very trendy nowadays, so we added a solution for them. With this accessory, your fibre glass pool will shine more than ever.
• Lamp + vinyl accessory: usually, this kind of pools does not require illumination, but in THREELINE we wanted to make them protagonist and let them shine.

Once detected the model, it’s time to choose the colour of the light for your pool.

• ¿Do you prefer transparent water, to clearly see the colour of the bottom? If so, choose the 6000K Cool White, perfect to give a sophisticated touch to the pool and make the blue of the bottom glow.

• Do you want to dive into colours? If so, choose an RGB PAR, but in this case, you will need a controller to turn it on and off, and to change the colours. There are two options: to control the lamps with a button (changing the colours with a short press) or with a radiofrequency remote control, to choose the colours and the sequences to combine. With this information, you can already have clearer ideas on the type of lamp that you need.

There are only a few more recommendations, to give you the whole picture of all the essential details for a perfect lighting of your pool.

• Calculate the amount of lamps you need, according to the dimension and the shape of the pool. It is not the same to illuminate a square pool and a rectangular or round one. In most cases, a small pool does not need more than one or two lamps. However, for bigger pools it is necessary to consider the better disposition, to avoid the creation of undesired shadows or darker zones.

• If possible, the lamps should be placed in the side of the pool opposite to the house, to prevent the risk of glare.

• Lamps should be placed at about 70 centimetres from the edge of the pool, to remain accessible also from the outside. In this way, it would not be necessary to completely empty the pool in case of maintenance works.
